The Language Club has significant experience in the area of teaching Portuguese as a foreign language. All teachers are native speakers and all of them have a Bachelor degree in Portuguese or related areas. Most teachers have had experience in teaching Portuguese as a foreign language overseas. Some of the countries our teachers have taught are: France, England, the U.S.A and Uruguay. All teachers have successfully accomplished an extensive preparation course and all of them frequently attend and prepare seminars to update, extend their knowledge and their cross-cultural sensitivity.
The Pedagogical Coordinator has a post-graduate qualification in “Teaching Portuguese as a Foreign Language” from Pontificia Universidade Católica – Rio de Janeiro and has more than 10 years of experience in the field. She has represented the school in Conferences in Brazil and Uruguay.
The school director has a Bachelor Degree in Portuguese and English languages from UFSC, Federal University of Santa Catarina and in Business Administration from UDESC, State University of Santa Catarina. She also holds a Diploma Course in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Reading University, UK, and a MBA qualification from University of South Florida, U.S. She has been running the school since its opening in 1994.
